*DON'T DESTROY YOUR ENEMY*

It is so poignant that it has now become a norm that people ambush their enemies with prayers. Ironically neither Islam nor Christianity encourages such act. These days the reining prayers in churches and mosques are in the tune "God let my enemy have no peace, destroy them!, burn them with fire! kill them!" I often laugh at these destructive prayers wondering if God will ever accept them, because it is the same God who says; "Love your enemies and pray for those who prosecute you" - (Matthew 5:44). 

In the Islamic realm, Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) says; "Do not pray for the destruction of your enemies but be mindful of the act of back-biting that destroys your good deeds"- (Saheeh Hadiths Muslim) 

So, when you pray for the destruction of your enemy, you are simply going against God's words.

Again, Bible Roman 12:17-21 says; "Recompense to no man evil for evil, provide things honest in the sight of all men. Avenge not yourself, if thine enemy hunger feed him, if he thirst give him drink.

Be not overcome of evil but overcome evil with good". The words of God are free of doubts. 

My fellow people it is better if we seek in prayer that God touches the heart of our 'Enemies' for goodness rather than the "DESTROY AND KILL" prayers. One thing we should take cognizance of is that, the ways of God is not the ways of the Majority.

Let's live to please God with utmost sincerity.
